The Fitzsimmons Family

February 3, 2012

We love the Fitzsimmons’.  Fitzsimmonses?  Fitzsimmonseses?  Regardless, we love these people.  Liam is the same age as my boys (days apart!) and the boys always have fun playing while their parents hang out.  As you can see, Liam is incredibly photogenic and adorable, and the newest member of their family, baby Henry, did not disappoint either.  What charmers these boys are!

Family Fun in the OBX

January 30, 2012

Thought I’d share a few family photos from our Christmas vacation in the Outer Banks.  We were joined by the Loews, who you’ve seen on this blog before, and we had a wonderful time!

I am available for beach sessions in the Outer Banks during the off season – let’s see if I can entice any of you with a few candids of my family….  :-)

Jenna & Hunter

January 25, 2012

Jenna & Hunter were up for anything for their maternity session.  We did some intimate portraits at home to start, and then wandered around Raleigh.  We found some beautiful light – but Jenna would have looked amazing anywhere.  She definitely is one of the more beautiful women I’ve ever seen at 33 weeks!  Love this session, love you guys!  Can’t wait for your little girl to be here soon!

10 on 10 | January

January 11, 2012

10 on 10  is a monthly project I’m beginning this month.  It’s 10 pictures blogged on the 10th of the month for one year.  As you can see, I’m off to a stellar beginning, as today is the 11th.  Don’t hold it against me.  It’s my goal that this project will force me to pick up my camera at home and document my boys at least once a month.  You might assume that as a photographer, I’m constantly taking photos of my kids, but I don’t do it nearly enough.  This project will hopefully help change that.

Thank You

December 31, 2011

A heartfelt thank you to my awesome clients this year!  It was a wonderful year and I’m excited for 2012…  Hope you all have a happy and safe New Year and in the meantime, enjoy a few of my favorite images from 2011…  :-)

The Loew Family

December 22, 2011

The main purpose of my trip to New Jersey this fall was to see these awesome people.  And to meet the newest member of their family, Stratton.  Anyone who has read this blog before has no doubt seen the ever-adorable Ainslie and heard me talk about my best friend, Bethany.  Since Ainslie and my boys were born essentially at the same time, Bethany and I weren’t able to meet each other’s kids until they were 6 months old.  This time, however, I got to meet Stratton right away!  Three weeks old when I was there, he was already changing and turning into a big boy.  He’s so adorable and his big sis is in L.O.V.E. with him – there really is nothing sweeter.

The session is in three parts – hanging out at home & photos of S, breakfast at the local diner, and more traditional portraits, just in time for the holidays.  Snuggle up and enjoy…  Love you, Loews!

In November, the WPS asked it’s members, “What are we thankful for?”  I’m proud that my photo was included with the other submissions detailing the things we are most thankful for this holiday season.  I encourage you to read through the other submission as well, some brought tears to my eyes.

Oh, this girl is growing up before my eyes!  My good friends Layla, Bill & Izzie joined me for a mini session and, of course, Izzie charmed…

You might remember that the Nichols family did a beach session with me earlier this summer, but they wanted to get some fall photos for their holiday cards.  We did a mini session and it was a BLAST, and I am quickly learning that this is pretty much status quo for anything to do with this family.  Love me some Nichols’!
