Shelli + Andy | Raleigh Wedding Photographer
I'm not sure where to even begin about this experience. A few weeks ago, one of my oldest and dearest friends texted me on a Wednesday to ask what I was doing on Friday morning. You know, if I was free to be her witness at her wedding! It is an understatement to say that I was so incredibly honored to be asked to be there for Shelli & Andy's wedding.
A small courthouse ceremony was quickly planned with all the necessary ingredients - marriage license, rings and each other. That Shelli let me bring my camera and document the intimate affair was icing on the cake. I absolutely loved their elopement because it was all about THEM. Not about the dress, flowers or Pinterest boards. Just about how much they love each other and that they didn't want to wait any longer to be married. What more do you need than that?
The ceremony was short and sweet, with a few friends and Magistrate presiding. After the ceremony, we paused for portraits inside the new Wake County Justice Center and then made a quick visit to Mordecai Historic Park with it's adorable chapel and beautiful grounds. I hope you will enjoy these images, as they give you a peek into their special day. I think you will quickly see how great these two are together - those smiles do not lie. Can't wait to see where life takes them both!
