One Kid, One Roll, Once a Month | January 2015
On the heels of my Pentax Portraits series in 2014, I'm super excited to participate in another personal project for 2015. I'm joining a group of film photographers who want to get their own kids in front of the camera more regularly during the course of the year. As the title of this blog post suggests, the idea is to shoot one roll per kid every month. How you approach the project is up to you, but I am planning to experiment each month with artificial lighting - strobes, to be specific. I want to shoot different film stocks during the course of the project, but since I want some consistency, I plan to shoot all the portraits in my new home studio. Clean backdrops so nothing but my kids personalities shine through. Here was my very first roll. Love these images so much! I can't wait to see how this project develops over the course of the year.
Check out the awesome Kim Hildebrand for her take on the project! I love everything Kim does, so I really cannot wait to see!
